Thomas Spring and Agnes Morginson: The Start of the Spring Dynasty

Multiple views of Lavenham, Suffolk, England

There are not many tales to tell about Thomas Spring's early life nor any anecdotes concerning his professional career. But we do know that in 1425, at the age of 40, he married Agnes Morginson.
Thomas and Agnes had four children: Katherine, Dionisia, William, and Thomas II. The only the year of birth known is that of Thomas II,  which is 1430.
For ten years the family worked and reinvested into their cloth business and Thomas became increasingly successful, rich, and renowned.
Although Thomas Spring was blessed with many things, longevity was not to be one of those blessings. At the age of 55, in the year 1440, Thomas passed away. He was buried in his home town of Lavenham.
Thomas Springs I Will The Will of Thomas Spring, was dated June 16th, 1440, and probated in the town if Cockfield, on February 8th, 1441. The Will mentioned his wife, Agnes, his sons, Thomas II and William, and his daughters, Katherine and Dionisia  (In the transcription at right referred to as Denise). The Executors being his wife Agnes, Geoffrey Fermer, William Curby, and John Cobold. Thomas Spring Jr. was only about ten years old at the time of his fathers death.
It's not known when Agnes Spring passed away, nor do we know the fate of Katherine and Dionisia. And regretfully, the only item recorded about his son William is that he died in 1472.
